The 90 Day Discipleship Challenge – Work out your body & your spirit
April 4, 2015Are you looking to get in shape, physically and spiritually? Are you looking to increase your ability to disciple or be discipled? We’ve developed just the thing with our newest tool system, fashioned to provide an outlet for spiritual and physical training. It’s called the 90 Day Discipleship Challenge and it was recently created by our founder, Joseph W. Sharp. Aimed at provoking holistic discipline, both in the area of spiritual and physical growth, this three month challenge will leave you famished for still more of His presence and for a hearty meal to fuel your next workout!
Challenge Categories- Because we are all triune beings, made up of body, soul and spirit, each 1/3 of our very being needs to be cultivated in accordance with He who created us. This tool system grooms each facet of the triune human make-up, leaving no compartment untouched in this three month journey. Straining toward the goal, whether it’s your hamstrings or heartstrings becomes the name of the game!
The Basics – Just like your old grade school curriculum, the 90 Day Discipleship course comes with certain core classes. These core subjects are known as “musts” in our syllabus and they involve bodily tasks like daily workout regimens and fasting and spiritual components like scripture reading and sharing your testimony with a friend or a stranger.

Walking Out Your Amazing Future – Book Review: 20,000 Days and Counting
April 23, 2013Do you know how many days you have lived? How many more do you think you have? Would you like your future to be brighter?
Recently I completed reading a book that I really enjoyed and believe can help those who are serious about being a life-long learner, constantly growing in life, and want their future to be brighter than their past. The book was: 20,000 Days and Counting by Robert D. Smith. Robert is the beloved behind the scenes manager for best-selling author, speaker and comedian, Andy Andrews.
If you don’t know how many days you have lived, you can find out for free quickly on the author’s website – http://www.therobertd.com/. I strongly recommend you do so, because it will set the stage for the rest of the wisdom I share through this blog post on behalf of the author. I have yet to live 20,000 days as the author has. I have lived 12,717. However, the principles apply to each of us no matter how long we have lived to date.

Your Best Life Found through Crazy Love
March 19, 2013Do you believe you could find your best life now through radical, crazy love? If so, keep reading…
In the last year I went through a lion share of this book in a men’s group that I was in: Crazy Love, by Francis Chan. It was the second book I read by the author, and it was as phenomenal as was his other work. I’ve had the privilege of seeing him speak as well and see that he is a very gifted and anointed man of God.

2013 – Things to STOP Doing and Power Walking!
December 28, 2012Do you do New Year’s Resolutions? Did you ever create a list of things to “stop” doing in your new year?
I have always been someone that is goal-oriented with foresight to apply the future to the current. It’s no surprise that my career and life is focused on helping people to plan goals, walk into their future with greater confidence, and to take action on their dreams.
Recently, I went through my process of reviewing the past year, looking at my dreams and the brutal facts of my 2012, so that I could assess where change is needed for 2013. Though I created 54 resolutions in 10 areas of life, what I seek to share with you today is two new insights that remain vivid in my mind.

REWORK – Insights Part #1 – Takedowns, Go and Progress
September 26, 2011Rita Mae Brown said that “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” If you truly want to improve your business, you must open your mind to new ideas and different ways of doing things.
First, I should also state that the insights shared here are copyright Jason Fried & David Heinmeier, the co-authors of REWORK and the founders of 37 Signals.
I got REWORK from a team member shortly before he transitioned to a new firm. Thank you, Josiah! I should be the first to say, however, that I don’t agree with everything in the book.

The Power of Your Daily Core!
March 4, 2011Life has way of becoming overwhelming doesn’t it? I have found a way to simplify life that I would like to share today. In today’s complex, fast paced world, you really need to be intentional more than ever about how you live I find.
I truly believe most people have a short list of things that they would love to see incorporated into and maintained within their daily lives. These things would come from their mouths to speak of the great importance they have intellectually within their mind. However, the true value that the person places on each item is shown in stark comparison by the reality of their actions that stem from the depths of their heart.
